Scenario One: A hunter glasses a bull elk from a distance. He closes the gap, sets up his tripod, and ranges the bull at 600 yards. He clips his rifle into the tripod, places his crosshairs on vitals, takes a deep breath, and does his best to minimize his wobble zone. He presses the trigger. His reticle jumps wildly up and right, but not before he can catch a glimpse of the bull running off. “Was it a hit or a clean miss?” he asks himself. He gets back on glass, tries to find the animal. No luck. His eyes suddenly focus in on treetops swaying in the wind. More questions begin to pile up.
